The Gist:
Lead farmer-facing market access activities across regions in Tanzania, helping smallholder farmers connect with buyers and improve commercial readiness. This is a field-based role for someone passionate about agricultural value chains and direct farmer engagement.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Coordinate market access activities, farmer groups, and buyer linkages in assigned areas
- Support aggregation, quality control, and post-harvest handling to meet market standards
- Facilitate training on quality, marketing, business skills, and inclusive market participation
- Track progress, manage data collection, and report implementation updates to management
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, International Development, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in market access, agricultural value chains, or agribusiness, with hands-on experience working directly with smallholder farmers, farmer groups, or cooperatives.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience in aggregation, quality control, processing, or value addition activities is preferred.
